3 Hurel was a Turkish rock band, formed in 1970 by siblings Onur, Haldun and Feridun Hurel. Considered as among Turkey's most popular Anatolian rock bands, the band performed folk-driven pop and rock music and occasionally also paraphrased classic folk songs with considerable ingenuity. Their lyrics generally featured themes such as peace and freedom.
Baris Manco was a Turkish rock musician, singer, songwriter, composer, actor, television producer and show host. Beginning his musical career while attending Galatasaray High School, he was a pioneer of rock music in Turkey and one of the founders of the Anatolian rock genre. He composed around 200 songs and is among the best-selling and most awarded Turkish artists to date. Through his TV program, 7'den 77'ye ("From 7 to 77"), He traveled the world and visited many countries on the globe.
Cem Karaca was a prominent Turkish rock musician and one of the most important figures in the Anatolian rock movement. He was a graduate of Robert College. He worked with various Turkish rock bands such as Apaslar, Kardaslar, Mogollar and Dervisan. With these bands, he brought a new understanding and interpretation to Turkish rock.
Erkin Koray is a Turkish singer-songwriter, guitarist and one of the pioneers of Anatolian rock. He has been in the Turkish rock music scene since the late 1950s. He is widely acclaimed as being the first person to ever play rock and roll in Turkey; in 1957, he and his band gained fame by playing covers of Elvis Presley and Fats Domino. He was also one of the first Turkish musicians to embrace the electric guitar and modern amplification.
Fikret Kizilok was a Turkish rock musician. He was introduced to music during his secondary school years at the Galatasaray High School, a top high school in Turkey that produced music legends Baris Manco and Timur Selcuk as well, although he went on later to study dentistry. He was a pioneer of Anatolian rock, a prolific songwriter, impresario, multi-instrumentalist, and an early experimentalist.
Kurtalan Ekspres is a Turkish Anatolian rock band that has worked with several famous lead singers, such as Cem Karaca, Cahit Berkay, Baris Manco. The band takes its name from a train named Kurtalan Express, which travels between Kurtalan and Haydarpasa. Kurtalan Ekspres was founded by Baris Manco in 1971, and initially included Murat Ses, Erdinc Avci, Fuat Guner, Celal Guven, Ozkan Ugur and Ali Serdar. In the late-1970s Bahadir Akkuzu joined the group as the lead guitarist.

Selda Bagcan is a Turkish folk singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music producer. Her career as a professional musician started in 1971, during her final year at the university, with the encouragement and support of the Ankara-based music producer Erkan Ozerman. The six singles she released that year, in which she interpreted traditional Turkish folk songs in a strong, emotional voice, accompanied by a simple acoustic guitar or baglama, carried her to national fame.
